Provider Contract Strategy
Cigna’s Provider Contract Strategy (PCS) was developed by Evernorth, the Data & Analytics organization, to assist Cigna’s contractor teams in completing, tracking, and strategizing the contract renewal process between Cigna and its providers. The tool aimed to modernize a workflow that was heavily dependent on Excel spreadsheets, siloed communication, and inconsistent data sources.
When I joined the project, the structure of the application was partially developed, but the experience was fragmented. Data existed across several internal tools, but the user journey was unclear. My role as a Senior Product Designer was to simplify this complexity: to redesign the information architecture, streamline the user journey, and design new features that tied the contract renewal process together in a cohesive, accessible experience.
